MAIN Summer Courses

We are offering interesting and engaging summer courses that focus on facilitating team building activities to offer a vibrant and memorable experience. The focus is on enhancing important 21st-century skills such as teamwork, leadership and critical thinking skills.

CRASH COURSE MATHS

3 - month summer program geared towards mental mathematics, arithmetic, calculus: differentiation and integration, linear algebra, vectors, fractions, exponents, equation solving, graphing. The main focus is on building a solid foundation for future high school mathematics programs.

CRASH COURSE PHYSICS

This is a 3-month course typically designed for grade 11 and 12 students who are interested in pursuing engineering in university. It typically focuses on the physics concepts offered during grade 11 and grade 12 to help students get a head start in physics.

CRASH COURSE CHEMISTRY

This course is geared towards thinking about: Stoichiometry, periodicity, bonding, thermochemistry, kinetics, equilibrium, acids/bases, redox processes, organic chemistry, measurement / data processing. This experience aims towards helping students get a head start in SCH3U and SCH4U courses.

INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER PROGRAMMING

Understanding the basics of programming, for loops, while loops, do-while loops, if statements. Then move onto more advanced concepts in 2D arrays, nested if statements, character arrays. Computer programming: Interesting and engaging activities in game 2D development (minesweeper, Othello, Reversi). This course is offered in C/C++/Java/Python.

CRASH COURSE ENGLISH

3 - month summer program geared towards creative writing, speaking and verbal skills, literary analysis of books: Hamlet, Death of A Salesman, Waiting for Godot, A StreetCar Named Desire etc, improving vocabulary with weekly worksheets to utilize complex adjectives and literary techniques.
